We understand that choosing what happens after your pet passes is an important and personal decision. Dr. Johnson works with trusted partners to ensure every option is handled thoughtfully and respectfully.
Private Cremation
Private cremation ensures your pet is cremated individually and handled with dignity throughout the entire process.
Your pet's ashes will be returned to you in one of the following ways:

Personally delivered by Dr. Johnson (in select areas)

Delivered to your veterinarian’s office

Mailed to you via USPS (signature required)
Private cremation services are provided through Abbey Glen Crematorium (West Chester, PA).

A complimentary urn is included. Families may also choose personalized urns or specialty memorial keepsakes directly through Abbey Glen.
Communal Cremation
With communal cremation, your pet is cremated alongside other cherished animals and treated with as much dignity and respect as those that are privately cremated.
Abbey Glen partners with Pet Reefs to incorporate communal ashes into an artificial reef memorial off the coast of New Jersey — creating a lasting tribute that supports marine life.​​​

Home Burial
Families may choose to bury their pet on private property in a meaningful location.

Please note: Euthanized pet remains are toxic and can be fatal if ingested by other animals. Proper burial depth and safety precautions are essential. Dr. Johnson can provide guidance to ensure burial is handled responsibly.
